Susan Griffith – Executive Director
Susan Griffith – is the Executive Director of Timpanogos Legal Center. She has 30 years of experience in working with family law and domestic violence issues. Susan has served as Managing Attorney of the Provo Office of Utah Legal Services and an Assistant Attorney General in Child Protection. Susan has been part-time faculty at Brigham Young University’s Law School since 1995. She teaches clinical courses in Family Law, Domestic Violence Intervention, Child Advocacy as well as externship classes and skills-based courses. Susan was a founding member of Timpanogos Legal Center and loves the challenge of finding ways to help more people and involve more attorneys in pro bono work.
Kristen Kellems – Staff Attorney
Kristen Clarke Kellems – is one of the Staff Attorneys for Timpanogos Legal Center. Kristen began her career as a legislative attorney for the Kansas State Legislature, where she drafted bills and resolutions and staffed legislative committees ranging from Education to Energy and Natural Resources. Upon relocating to Eugene, Oregon, Kristen worked as a faculty member in the Early Childhood Education Department at the University of Oregon on educational policy issues. She also volunteered at various legal clinics in Oregon to help serve indigent elderly individuals with their legal issues. After becoming licensed in Utah, Kristen began working at Timpanogos Legal Center where she focuses on family law. Kristen is a member of the Central Utah Bar Association and the family law and elder law sections of the Utah State Bar. the She holds a J.D. from Washburn University School of Law, and a B.A. from Brigham Young University. Kristen loves to hike, camp, ski and spend time with her husband and three children.
Brooke L. Robinson – Staff Attorney & Program Coordinator
Brooke Robinson – is our staff attorney and program coordinator. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University with a major in political science. Brooke graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University and was admitted to the Utah State Bar in October 2014. After law school, Brooke worked as a law fellow with the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office and as the Pro Bono Director at Utah Legal Services also practiced family law. Since joining Timpanogos Legal Center, Brooke works primarily on family law and domestic violence case. Brooke is a member of the statewide Pro Bono Commission, focused on improving legal service in Utah. Brooke completed the National Institute of Trial Advocacy Training program. Brooke is also a certified Utah Victim Advocate.
Joni McDougal – Staff Attorney
Joni McDougal is our staff attorney and speaks Spanish. She obtained both a Bachelor’s of Accounting and a Master’s of Accounting from Brigham Young University. Joni has lived in Honduras for eighteen months and has studied abroad in Spain and Mexico. Joni graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University and was admitted to the Utah State Bar in October 2016. Since joining Timpanogos Legal Center, Joni works primarily on family law and domestic violence cases. Joni is also a certified Utah Victim Advocate.
