Timpanogos Legal Center has served the Fourth District for over seven years and is now expanding its services statewide, including rural areas where legal services are a critical need. Timpanogos Legal Center has announced two new opportunities for pro bono work for attorneys.
Domestic violence shelter clinics: The Clinic needs attorneys to visit domestic violence shelters and inform victims of their rights, inform them of services that are available, explain the differences in court proceedings, and answer questions about protective orders and family law issues. Materials will be provided to guide the discussion, and attorneys will work under the direction of a TLC attorney. Training and supervision will be provided.
Document clinic that can be done from office or home:
The Clinic is also looking for attorneys to volunteer on their own schedule to draft documents for low income pro se clients. TLC prescreens low income clients who are representing themselves and need assistance in drafting documents such as Temporary Orders, an Order to Show Cause, an Answer and Counterclaim, or a motion for Alternative Service. The work can be done from an attorney’s own office or home.
It’s a great opportunity to join Timpanogos Legal Center in providing pro bono services to clients in need. To volunteer, please email Brooke
